Petra's Salt Cave Tavern has taken an ancient healing treatment of speleotherapy (cave therapy) and halotherapy and combined it with 21st century technology to bring Colorado Springs a unique healing environment. The secret of healing in the salt cave is simple. The air in it is saturated with salt and 85+ minerals and trace elements contained in it. By staying in the salt cave, elements essential for the proper functioning of an organism get absorbed into it. A body thus gets into balance and begins to heal by itself; because it is only man alone, who can heal himself. All the rest, such as medicine, only serves to supports and aid the body in its self-healing.
Over 20 tons of the salt in our Salt Cave is approx. 250 million years old. The salt comes from crystallized sea salt beds that were uplifted by mountain building into the Khewra Salt Range of northern Pakistan.
The salt therapy helps clients with respiratory ailments like asthma, allergies, COPD, cystic fibrosis, bronchitis, sinusitis and more. The Salt Therapy is 100% natural, safe and drug free.

The Salt Tavern is a celebration of great craft beverage, fine wine, and mainly local and organic non GMO food. While our menu may not be complex – it will also be no compromise. We are offering a simple, but compelling menu anchored by artisan sandwiches and quesadillas, freshly prepared on the Salt Tavern panini grills.

We also offer amazing mainly Fresh Food, made mainly from organic NON GMO ingredients, European cheese & meet plates, pitas, freshly baked breads and baguettes, and sup.
Our Salt Tavern also offers variety of Craft Coffee and the Finest Loose Leaf Teas with the European pastries trough out the day.
You can also indulge yourself with the cup of hot chocolate with fresh fruits or try our Speciality Mixed Drinks.
